![]() There is one particular step I struggled with a bit and wasn't that clear on the video which is the only thing I'd mark it down for so far. Unfortunately the parts you need to get to can only be reached by taking the controller completely apart. Installation isn't particularly easy although there is a step by step video to follow. It decreases the push distance for the L1,L2, R1 and R2 buttons so they feel like a mouse click. You should send him a link here so he can see all the positive feedback he gets.Having seen a couple of negative reviews, I thought I'd share my thoughts. Again, not a big deal, I just had to set all the keepers after we did our competition, just minor things that are probably only relevant to my edge case.Īnd yes, the owner/creator of this site is awesome. Unfortunately, draft order is locked as soon as you start enterring keepers. Ideally, I could setup the league/keepers before hand, then after we determine draft order I can edit the order. We have a crazy competition/ritual in Vegas to determine draft order. The other thing I'd like is to be able to change the draft order after you have set keepers. It's probably an edge-case, so no biggie. It slows things down, but at least it was fun. So instead, we made the person take a shot as a penalty before they can make their pick. There isn't a skip feature, or an ability to go back if we stuck him with a temp kicker. The only things I'd like are that we have a penalty for people who cannot make their pick in less than 1 min/2mins where the next person gets to draft ahead of them and they can go back and fill in their spot when ready. I am posting this because I has a great experience with a great product that not many had heard of, and the word should get out about this site. I am NOT a shill for Clicky Draft, feel free to dig through my 3+ years on Reddit to find evidence of any wrongdoing. I know most users will use ESPN's online draft tool, but I really preferred to have a draft board in front of me than a list of players.Īs a bonus, I messaged the creator of the site a couple of days ago to tell him I liked playing with the site and plan on using it and he got back to me promptly, letting me know to message him if I have any problems. I didn't dig through features or check out the paid option, as the free one did exactly what I needed. That was the only mishap.Ĭonclusion: Clicky proved to be intuitive, user-friendly, clean, and (mostly) reliable. Data was all auto-saved and the board was back up and running. After a minute or two, we held our breath and refreshed the page. Problems: At one point, the interface froze (on my side as well as the Boston side), and I was nervous about losing data. I was very impressed that there was no software required except the browser. You can open the URL on a mobile device (also via a browser) and it re-sizes itself nicely. Interface: It's a very clean, no-frills, color coded draft board you are interacting with through your browser. The long distance owner is now able to make their own selections. My not-so-tech-savvy buddy had no problem navigating it. Once those are dialed in, Click gives a URL that you copy and shoot to offsite parties, and boom, they are now looking at the draft board. (Halfway through the draft we figured out that Clicky has a chat feature, but my then we were using AIM video chat, so we just stuck with that.)Įxecution: Setting up the parameters of our draft was pretty easy number of teams, rounds, draft order, etc. ![]() We instead used AIM for just text chatting. The Plan: Have the board up on one tab and Skype up on the other, but my Boston owner is not the tech-savvy-est guy ever, and couldn't get his Skype rolling. After dicking around with it for a while, it seemed like the way to go, so that's what we used last night (I had ESPN ready to go on the back burner just in case). ![]() There were some very helpful suggestions, among them a comment by u/gimliclc offering up an online draft board he made, the aforementioned Clicky Draft. Not sure about the best approach for a long distance draft, I posted this question to this sub about a month ago: ![]() I'm am the new commissioner of a 12 man league in Minnesota that has one guy drafting from Boston, the rest of the players are in the same room. ![]()
